Hutt balances her artwork with advocacy for the arts. She serves as a panelist, visiting artist and lecturer for museums, galleries and civic arts organizations as well as sitting on numerous boards and community advisory groups. Ms. Hutt teaches on a wide range of topics related to artists’ housing, artists’ survival issues and the relationship between the arts and the community.
Ms. Hutt is a long-time resident of Boston’s lively South End community where, in 1990, she worked to establish the first successful mixed-use artist live/work space to utilize a city-owned surplus building. Since then, she has consulted on a dozen similar projects.
Hutt currently works as Collection Care Manager for the Friends of the Public Garden
