Sarah Hutt is a mid-career artist living in Boston. Ms. Hutt has been represented in numerous solo shows and over 40 group exhibitions throughout the country including: Boulder Museum of Art, Colorado; Michigan State University, Lansing; New Mexico State University; and Duxbury Art Museum, MA. She also serves as a panelist, visiting artist and lecturer to colleges, museums, galleries and organizations around America, as well as sitting on numerous boards of directors and community advisors groups.
Her work is included in numerous private and public collections, including those of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge; Fidelity Investments, Boston; the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts; SUNY-Potsdam, Potsdam, New York; the Federal Reserve Collection, Boston; and the McMullen Museum at Boston College.
As a working artist, she has received grants and awards from bodies including the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the New England Foundation for the Arts, the LEF Foundation, and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
In addition to her commitment to making art, Hutt maintains a consultant business working with developers, designers, architects and artists to integrate public art, temporary and permanent, into the landscape. She is a long-time resident of the vibrant South End community; where she assisted in the development of the first mixed use Artist live workspace from a surplus City building.
