Sarah Hutt is a mult-media
artist and arts advocate. Has had numerous solo exhibitions and group shows
in Boulder Art museum, Michigan State University, SUNY New York, Boston
University and wall as man y colleges and gallery.
She serves as a panelist,
visiting artist and lecturer for museums, galleries and civic arts
organizations as well as sitting on numerous boards and community advisory
groups. Ms. Hutt teaches on a wide range of topics related to artists'
housing, artists' survival issues and the relationship between the arts and
the community.
Her professional duties have
included coordinating special projects, pairing individual artists with
organizations for funding, and spearheading the development and maintenance
of artists' housing.
Ms. Hutt is a long-time
resident of Boston's lively South End community where, in 1990, she worked
to establish the first successful mixed-use artist live/work space to
utilize a city-owned surplus building. Since then, she has consulted on a
dozen similar projects.
Sarah Hutt is presently
employed as the Director of Visual Arts Programming for the Mayor's Office
of Arts, Tourism, and Special Events in Boston, Massachusetts.
